What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and in many cases to measure or track how a site is used.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential is stored on your device until you choose, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies already on your device are deleted.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for the site to function. They do not require your consent, because without them the service you asked for cannot be provided.

Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which pages are useful and where people get stuck, so we can improve it. These are only set if you accept them.

Google Analytics tells us things like how many people visited, which pages they viewed, roughly where in the world they were and what type of device they used. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK. Google’s own description of how it handles the data is at business.safety.google/privacy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on.
Spam protection on our forms
Our enquiry forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which tells genuine enquiries apart from automated spam. It looks at how a page is interacted with and returns a score, without asking you to solve a puzzle.
reCAPTCHA is loaded on every page because an enquiry form appears on every page. It is used only to keep our forms usable and is not used to profile you or to advertise to you. Because it is there to deliver a service you have asked for – a working enquiry form – it is treated as strictly necessary and is not covered by the analytics choice above. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it.
Advertising and social media
We do not run advertising cookies, social media tracking or any other third-party tracking on this website. If that changes we will update this page and ask for your consent before anything new is set.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as the choice offered on this site, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Every major browser has instructions under its help or privacy menu. Blocking all cookies will not stop you browsing the site, though staff will not be able to log in.
